Gone are the days of old boring cell watches. In the age of electronic boom, how can we still use the same old pattern in watches? A French designer named Oliver has finally designed an elegant solar LED watch that utilizes a sort of free energy to illuminate a string-like structure on its LED membrane. The time is shown by LEDs, with the hours on the perimeter of the design in blue, five minute groups in the same locations in purple. Four single minutes are shown on the cross bars in the center.

There is a solar cell in the watch that stores up energy in the battery to make sure the watch keeps operating throughout. The LED watch that looks like an electronic bracelet is ideal for people who are looking for the latest techno and stylized products. Designer Oliver has designed the watch in such a manner that makes it completely user-friendly. It is a watch that can be worn by men and women alike. Don’t hesitate to put this one on your wrist if you want all of them to go “all wow!”
Television viewing is set to undergo a magical transformation with a new genre of remote device that exemplifies spontaneity and intuitiveness. Dubbed the Gesture Remote Control, the innovative device provides a simple and intelligent interface that can be used to navigate the wide array of content available on modern TVs.

The inventively sleek design of the remote control facilitates smooth interaction with the bog screen. The gadget uses GestIC technology from IDENT Technology to detect and track hand, finger or body movement to cast a spell of virtual features without touching the device itself. Virtual mouse functionality allows a circular motion to bring up the main menu, raising and lowering of the thumb to zoom in and out and scrolling up and down to browse different genres using virtual sliders.
In our quest to reflect up on the next generation’s expectations, the Taiwanese designer Hank Chen has developed a mobile handset with flexible display technology. Dubbed the “Flex Display Phone”, the handset features a 5’ sliding screen along with a keyword on its touch-sensitive screen for easy typing. The Flex Display Phone alters the size of the screen, and thus the cellphone, to work in three different modes, i.e. mobile phone, notebook and tablet.
Inspired one of the most trendy fashion accessories, the bracelet, Kiwi designer Chuck Lee has come up with a sleek phone dubbed the “Bricell” that looks more like a piece of jewelry than a gadget. Intended towards female users, the jewelry phone features a simple yet stylish design, allowing easy controls for relatively not-so-geeky-users. Integrating just two touch pads, one for scrolling up and down and the other for clicking OK, to work like normal buttons, the wearable phone also features a hearing piece that works wirelessly with Bluetooth technology. The cellphone works both with and without the earphones. Featuring the body finished in silicon and other parts by injection molding, the concept phone moves the interface up and down on the screen, when the user scrolls up and down on the pad, to enter the menu by pressing the OK button. The Bricell also includes a docking station to place and charge it safely.
Designed as a part of “Untrod,” a new design project of IDEA International, the “Madokadoke” by Ross McBride is a LED watch that looks more like a fashion accessory than a timepiece. Named after Ross’ wife, Madokadoke, the bracelet watch features a hidden button that flashes the LED lights through the lines engraved on its surface to tell the time digitally. When not in use as a watch, you may turn off the light to convert it into a bracelet. Available in a variety of colors, the bracelet LED watch seems to explore new possibilities to minimize the difference between gadgets and fashion accessories.
Sponsored by Samsung, the “Nek-fon” by designer Verenice Macedo is a cellphone concept that as indicated by its name can be worn around the neck like a necklace. Essentially a mobile phone built in a necklace, the futuristic cellphone detaches the pendent from the necklace to be used an earpiece. The Nek-fon also features a camera that projects a screen on any flat surface to let the user text, surf the internet and go through the contact list with minimum fuss. And when not in use as a cellphone, the hi-tech device becomes a fashion accessory for the trendy users.
