Sony just barely updated the PSP but designer Tai Chiem is already thinking about the next iteration. His design calls for a flexible OLED display that can be conveniently rolled. An electric charge powering the display stiffens it while providing near bezeless prime real estate for gaming. Stereo speakers on either side double as a jog wheel and camera control. He also envisages Sony finally implementing two joysticks. Pipe dream or not, it’s sexy and lives up to its name; it don’t get any more portable than this.

Petitinvention once again introduces a superb concept phone and, as far as I know, the creative genius behind this is an Apple fan, so my lucky guess (based on the device’s look) is that we might be dealing with a so-called Mac Phone. The designer of the device compares it to Nokia Aeon, but I think this is better and more original.

Trust good designs to make the most basic of gadgets interesting. The Op Art Touch Phone, apparently, has little substance that can put it in the elite league of world-class gadgets. However, its avant-garde style more than makes up for its lack of extensive features. Designed by Alessandra M. Enriconi, the phone features a simple touch screen and unconventionally located microphone and speaker on its sliding sides. A camera also finds its way into this hidden location. An interesting feature is the appearance-changing touch screen that displays op art images. If you fancy style deviations, you might fancy the Op Art Touch Phone as well!
