The Kinetic MP3 Player by British designer Matthew Smith makes sure you have your music playing, using kinetic energy! The energy generated to power this one up is created due to friction, so be it a jog or a brisk walk home from the supermarket, the Kinetic will just keep pumping those beats. The first thing I thought of when I looked at the concept Helix design by Raka Gemma was the concept watch diary that we recently featured. In fact, the Helix which is a concept pen design will be the perfect pen to write with in this diary, especially if the watch inside the diary every stops working. Why? Because the Helix pen has an integrated timepiece in its frame! So you can constantly keep a tab on the time while you are writing. This pen is especially great for students during exams. What is more, the pen sits beautifully on your wrist just like a wrist watch. And here we are in the future already with the very cute WheeMe. Now, this isn’t any humanoid who’d sooth your muscles with its hands, coz it doesn’t have any. It’s a little roller bot that rides over the back on its rubber wheels, massaging every inch with random movement and pressure. Weighing 240 grams, WheeMe is a soft massager which understands to remain on the back without falling, thanks to its tilt sensors that keep its center of gravity in place. The bot will be shown off at the CES in January, so let’s wait to try it ourselves.
