Developed by Japanese design studio Tokyoflash, the “Space Digit” is a wristwatch concept that presents a muddle of digits on its dial to resolve the age long riddle of the time. Presenting a silver ring around its face that contrasts against the black case and strap to raise the lens above the case, the digital watch covers the interface with a deep acrylic lens. As soon as the user touches the button, the watch illuminates the built-in LEDs in blue to flash three digits (representing hour, minutes and seconds), to tell the present time.

In the past few years there have been major terrorist attacks around the globe in developing as well as developed nations. Since then scientists have been pushing hard to come up with a viable alternative for a polygraph test, which at times is rendered useless in revealing concealed information from terrorism suspects. A series of test conducted in the Northwestern lab under J. Peter Rosenfeld (professor psychology in Northwestern’s Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences) and his team seems to be the concrete solution in unearthing secret information from stubborn terrorists. The test is about measuring P300 brain waves via electrodes that are attached to the scalp of the test subjects in the lab.
