Designed to compliment vivacious lifestyle Samsung Nerve is a wearable communication gadget that keeps you connected on land and in water. For designer Jim Odessky the best use scenario arises when you find yourself lost while riding on waves during that sea surge. Without letting you lose your nerve in that moment of panic, Samsung Nerve helps you locate and reunite with your friends.
Designed by Tokyoflash Japan, the High Definition sports watch presents a simple yet hi-tech design, with sharp lines and delicate grooves, to tell the time. Featuring a crisp, clean and user-selectable multi-colored LCD interface, the wristwatch shows the hours in square blocks and the five-minute groups are depicted in the lines outside the square blocks, while single minutes and seconds are displayed right at the center. What makes the watch unique is “the center of the glass lens, which is chamfered at a 45-degree angle around the central block of metal.”

The cognitive balloon concept has been designed to ensure maximum safety for the swimmers that alerts the lifeguards about a swimmer’s danger. This concept aims to eliminate the difficulties of seashore lifeguards to spot a person in danger and their exact location, which is one of the key reasons of beach fatalities. Also, it eliminates the hassle of swimmers to wear inconvenient and uglysafety gears by featuring a fashionable discrete wristband that releases a balloon with a simple button press. The balloon gets filled by compressed helium gas and rises quickly, so that a swimmer in danger can easily be identified even at a crowded beach by the lifeguards.
Or yogging…apparently you just run. What is the exercise you speak of? You need to get your heart rate up. And not just with a tall glass of coffee. You’ve got to get out there and run around like crazy. But that wont work! You’ve got to have a nice healthy jog to get your body in shape. But your music doesn’t go with the feet moving! Until now! Clip the “Joggo” device on to your shirt and the headphones into your ears and the beats will be keeping you in check in no time flat.
E-Ink is a concept display technology with very thin, durable, flexible and low power attributes, which is also referred to as an electronic paper sometimes. This project is a continuum challenge for the designers to create innovative applications for this unique technology. Among many, we think that one compelling solution was to evolve the E-Ink film into the top exterior of a snowboard, since the riders of snowboards often require information about the mountain they are surfing and don’t want to take the hassle of pulling a compass, maps or other supplies. The E-Inktechnology, with the stability and low power attributes, has made it an ideal fit for this application.
