An iris scanning technology to securely get into your social networking sites, e-mails and bank accounts comes in. The technology developed by the New York based biometric security firm Hoyos Group comes up in form of a USB drive. The device has to be connected with a personal computer via USB port. On showing your eye to the wand-like scanner, it will decode your unique identification to access to any of your online IDs, whether it is Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, PayPal or a bank account.

The Hoyos Group has named its innovative technology as Eye-Lock. The portable eye scanner is about the size of a standard business card and with the weight of four ounces. Thanks to the technology, you may not have to remember and type the password for your important online accounts like Facebook, Twitter and a bank account. An eye contact with the device will automatically bring open your password-protected accounts on your computer screen.

According to Hoyos, the company has used cutting-edge technology to design the marvelous scanner. The device will read iris of a user and create a unique numerical key, which will change every time one logs in to his/her account. That means there is no possibility for hacking of password. It steps up online security manifold, says Tracy Hoyos, Hoyos Group’s assistant marketing director.

The company says that iris identification is more secure than the fingertip technology, which is already in use widely. The fingertip has around 18 unique points, while iris instead has 2,000 points. It increases the security level. The Hoyos Group’s Eye-Lock has been priced at $99. The company, however, has not yet set a release date for the product. It may soon be announced.

In a time when virtually any electronic device can be hacked, lifesaving devices such as pacemakers are no exception. To help protect patients wearing such devices, researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Massachusetts have entered into a joint venture to develop wireless “cloaks” that may be used with existing implants and may be removed during a medical emergency. The “medical shield” acts like a firewall that protects implants from unauthorized access or hacking, and may be disabled by special encrypted instructions uploaded by doctors.

How often have you forgotten you passwords or felt a burden while typing one? Won’t it be great if this step got deleted and your account opened magically every time you felt like logging in?! To give your dream wings of reality is the Hoyos Group, which unveiled the first portable iris-scanning device for personal use. The one-of-its-kind device has been named as EyeLock.

Till date what you just saw in movies and is used by the government and financial institutions, will now protect your personal accounts. Iris scanning technology will come in the form of a USB drive. It weighs less than four ounces and is approximately the size of a business card. After narrowing down on the device you want to eye-lock, simply hold the scanner in front of your eye. You will be robotically logged in to your account, which has been protected by a password, once the device recognizes your eye, that too without even entering one.

EyeLock will work on anything, ranging from Facebook to Gmail and PayPal to your bank account. Fingerprint technology created ripples when it was introduced to the world, so what is the need of an iris scanning technology? If this is what you are thinking, then read ahead to clarify all doubts. According to Hoyos, the iris recognition is even more secure as a fingerprint has about 18 unique points to identify who it belongs to, whereas your iris apparently has 2,000 points.

EyeLock will come with a price tag of $99 but there is no set date when it will be released. With iris recognition technology, eyes will get the power to control your online life.

According to Tracy Hoyos, Hoyos Group’s assistant marketing director,

Every time you log in, it reads your iris and creates a unique key, which is a series of numbers, and this key changes every time you log in, so no one can hack it.

If someone kills you, it won’t work, because once you die your eye automatically flattens so your iris isn’t the same.

ThruVision Systems has officially unveiled to the world, the most high-tech body scanner ever. Dubbed the TS4, this compact security body scanner was presented at the Farnborough International Air Show in Hampshire. The high-tech security scanner can detect everything from explosives, liquids, narcotics, weapons, plastics to ceramics hidden under clothing. What is more, the TS4 can image both metallic and non-metallic threat objects concealed on still or moving subjects, without revealing body details and also without radiating the person with energy. The TS4 functions collecting natural thermal energy which is generated by all people. The TS4 with its high-tech configurations and improved image definition provides a more compact, yet more effective and powerful alternative to full body scanners. Its main advantage has to be that it offers a larger field of use and usability.

Designed for use in both checkpoint and stand-off people screening applications, its compact size enables it to be deployed discreetly as well. The TS4 had a successful trial run at a major European airport ad reportedly a number of government agencies and security companies have already showed interest in it.Given the passive imaging technology and compact size along with the assurance of no side effects generated from the radiating waves, this TS4 will surely be welcomed by all.
Maxhous recently emerged with a novice design for the apartments- MaxDoor. The stimulating concept behind MaxDoor was to place an entryway at the neck of the apartment to represent the panache and style of one’s home.

It not only scores high in terms of security and exterior appeal but also is embedded with a houseful of features. To name a few, it comes with various modules installed in- Like through one of its modules one can actually ring a bell in MP3 Songs format with a speaker mobile inside the apartment. Similarly, MaxClê is another module that acts as a remote control assisting in the opening and closing mechanism of the door.

Needless to say, that one gaze at Soft Touch-painting done on its exterior, it becomes loud and clear that Maxdoor is a pure piece of design done aesthetically to suit the contemporary needs of consumers today.

The sprinkler concept you see here will target residential, as it is to erase his work in a fire in an emergency, but that does not mean that it take its other two tasks lightly – we are talking about a smoke detector and an emergency light like on navigation gps.

After all, could be the next fire extinguisher just be too far away, so that the latter concept idea very much additional “insurance” in case of an emergency. It will be on leave powder to extinguish fires, but really, how much powder can be kept inside? Looks good, but in reality, if realized, it does not sound practical like on Garmin Edge 800 GPS.
This machine has an AMAZING NAME. It is designed by Chris Rogers and it goes by the name “Mega Hurtz Tactical Robot.” It can turn on a dime, you control it by remote and can use it in tangent with a virtual reality headset, and yes, it can tow a Hummer. This machine can smash through a concrete wall, fire 20 pepperballs per second with its installed turret mounted non-lethal automatic weapon, and weighs around 280 pounds. This machine can totally do anything you want, including running right over your foot!

The weapon you see on top of this machine might be non-lethal now, but once this child of potential death is seen by the US army, military, airforce, navy, secret service, not-so-secret service, and magic devision, you’re going to see some serious flesh ripping.

That weapon installed NOW on the vehicle is a 20RPS Modified Mil-Sim Paintball Gun/Assault Rifle with a Wireless Infra-Red Night Vision Barrel-Mounted Camera, connected to a remotely controlled Pan/Tilt Turret. It rocks. Below that are 14 inch Bar-Lug Trencher tires attached to a fulltime 4-wheel-drive system with rugged high-torque electric motors. It’s a beast. A complete beast.

This project is aimed at Law Enforcement SWAT Teams, Search and Rescue, First Responders, and Security Companies “to take personnel out of the line of fire and out of harms way.” Very neat. Anyone see the cartoon series Gundam Wing? They explore a future (for a while during the series) where war is fought using remotely controlled air-fighters. Turns out humans can beat them, just so long as their bots are faster. How about that?
Increasing breaches in home security due to both technical as well as human errors have triggered an alarm for the residents, especially in urban areas, to install some effective security systems to protect themselves and their belongings. The “Securo” is a home security robot that comes integrated with a touch-sensitive monitor and camera to detect even the slightest noise and movement around a perimeter. Capable of communicating with you and your security service, the home security robot provides authentic and precise information of the activities going on in and around your place. In short, the Securo helps you keep your home and peace of mind protected even when you are away.
