FireGuard Robot Makes Firefighting More Efficient Via Various Handy Features

The FireGuard is a firefighter robot concept, designed to eliminate the exposure of firefighters on fire and toxic smoke, and getting killed or injured. An operator, with the help of the built-in cameras and sensors, will send radio-frequency instructions to move the robot to the fire source even in dark smoke and extinguish fire with extinguishing agents from its tanks. Moreover, the sensors can transmit information about any gases or toxic substances inside the fire source. This robotic concept is equipped with a five-star rim engine, making it able to move inside places that are difficult to access like depots of dangerous goods, nuclear power plants or chemical plants. The lightweight construction of FireGuard allows it to move easily and systematically, and uses very small amount of extinguishing agents by featuring a rotating precision spray.

FINE is an intelligent fire extinguisher designed to effectively fight against a domestic fire. It can be easily used as a traditional fire extinguisher by an individual. Also, it can alert the fire fighters if a fire takes place when nobody is at home and starts putting out the fire automatically until the fire fighters involves with the situation. This compact product contains an infrared thermometer to sense flames, a rolling base, a container of powder and collision sensors to evade obstacles. It comprises a usual smoke detector and moves towards the fire to pulverize the powder into the core of the fire.

Robot Harvester For Gathering Rubbish by Olga Kalugina

The Robot Harvester is a self driven robot concept that has been designed to gather rubbish from shopping centers and street territories, and put them to the right place for disposal. Not only the small rubbishes, the Robot can gather big rubbishes as well using manipulators. It features two web cameras and sensors to detect length of an element which will help it to estimate the territory and locate the place where therubbish is awaiting to be picked. The scope of small rubbishes is created through a couple of diagonal sweeper-collectors that can sweep just near to the edge.

After sweeping, the rubbish is dumped inside the tank which is divided into two parts: one for small rubbish and another for bigger one. Big rubbish are put by manipulators and falls through upper hole, that is closed with plates. The plates work using the principle of jalousie from small serve drive. Allrubbish will be put away from the robot automatically, and its tank can be put away for washing. Recharging of accumulators is automatic too.

„Tufan” (storm, cyclone) is a newly developed concept for a Dyson service robot.

It combines the duties of floor-cleaning, home surveillance and tele-presence. The robot can be integrated in your home’s energy management and it is able to operate the power system, like a remote control. Only existing and mature technologies are used and combined in this innovation.

My goal was to create a robot, which, in spite of its robotlike form language, can trigger emotions, but is also seen as a tool to fulfill one’s needs.

The form language of Dyson products stand out with their strong constitution, which is supposed to air superiority. Their conspicuous coloring should also withdraw attention from similar competing products. With these features, Dyson creates its distinctive appearance.

Powerful and energetic shapes, which rather remind you of sports cars, should signalize the technique and superiority of this extraordinary product. At the same time, semantic allusion of birds (swan, king penguin) are supposed to create a friendly and lovely appearance.
“Tufan”, though, does have an attitude. He distinguishes the cleanness behavior and sighs when he has to clean too often.

“Tufan’s” head doesn’t just display basic, personal information, but also mirrors emotions and mimic of the robot. During tele-presence sessions, it can be used as transmittance
display.

With its special tele-presence function, you have the possibility to steer the robot with the mobile-phone and the internet. This way you can keep an eye on the house from afar.
