
Drawing inspiration from the solar eclipse, designer Hoang Nguyen has developed a personal media player called the “Sony Eclipse”that integrates photovoltaic cells to harness solar energy and juice itself up with renewable energy. Synchronizing the media via Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi device also includes built-in auxiliary input and USB port for uninterrupted entertainment. All the users need to do is affix the device to the window during the day to charge the built-in battery, which packs adequate power to let them enjoy their favorite programs or tracks throughout night.

Inspired by the form of a megaphone, Macedonian designer Jelkica Popovska has come up with an innovative music player the “SONAR” that not only lets you share and enjoy music files with your friends but their extended friend network as well. Designed for the home context, the visual music player allows you to create play lists either physically or dynamically by accessing online SONAR products connected to the network. The new music player also features a portable interactive object, made of soft aluminum, enabled with GSM technology to enhance your musical experience.
