Automotive enthusiast Marko Petrovic’s unusual timepiece takes inspiration from and follows the design language of Lamborghini’s ultramodern hypercar, the Aventador. The Avenger watch transfers the same ultramodern aesthetic, signature black and orange of the Aventador, and complex engineering into a vertical tourbillion presented much in the same way as the car’s engine and transparent cover. SF View Concept Watch (Video)

SF View concept watch is one of submissions from TokyoFlash design challenge. We think the SF word stands for Sci-Fi, since this watch design was inspired by a spaceship flight deck. This futuristic watch features 3-parts display and an empty space in the middle of the case to create the impression of a “private panoramic screen” inside this watch.

To read the time, hours and minutes are displayed on the main screen with numbers (no, there’s no tricky way to read the time) from left to right and top to bottom. While reading the second is a bit tricky, SF View concept watch displays the seconds with strokes on both sides of the display. There are animation image and cool video at the bottom of this article to give you some clues how to read the time.

Binary Samurai watch design is inspired by the Ice Samurai watch from Chinavasion. Pillars of Time – Concept Wall Clock By Matthew Crowley

Are you bored looking at the same circular clock adorning your beautifully painted wall? Two arms, chasing each other, producing a constant tick-tock-tick can never act exclusive. But, this picture is about to change, thanks to Matthew Crowley. The industrial designer has crafted a wall clock that has 5 hands. Yes, you read it right! Christened the Pillars of Time, the design will add an awe-inspiring appeal to inside spaces.

Matthew has come up with an alternate design that is nothing like the widely accepted round-shaped clocks. It consists of 5 uneven bars that have been placed at an equal distance. The hour hand in Pillars of Time is the longest, unlike everyday clocks in which the hour needle is the smallest. The fashionable piece will perfectly blend with a contemporary setup and make the area glow with its aura. The bars have been crafted from laser micro-perforated wood veneer. Time is displayed in numbers, which are illuminated by the presence of very bright LEDs. These energy-saving LEDs peep through the wooden structure, lending it a charismatic shine.

The clock incorporates 150 feet of wiring at the back. This joins the whole system together along with 50 white LEDs. The entire arrangement is taken care by a Lightuino that is a modified Arduino. Pillars of Time is quite attention-grabbing despite its simple looks. The unique creation will rest on the walls like a piece of art and the use of LEDs will leave many impressed.

Glocke is a unique cradle for an MP3 player and is inspired by the Korean Buddhist Bell. The bell works on the principle of resonance and amplifies sound, spreading its outreach. Vibrating Plated Watch By Nemoto San

This innovative watch design looks like a plated bracelet and uses the mechanism of vibration to tell the time in Morse Code. Designed by Nemoto san from Japan, this watch is an extremely useful tool for the visually impaired and the time is known by the vibrations occurring in the display portion of the watch.

This bracelet watch is divided into 12 plates that basically indicate the hours. Upon pressing the right plate that depicts the present hour, that particular hour plate produces vibrations on the watch which indicate the minutes – one small vibration means 1-5 minutes, similarly two small vibrations indicate anything between 6-10 minutes. However, one long vibration on the contrary means 0 minutes.

The design of the watch is very simple as the main attraction lies in the functionality of the watch and its plates that indicate the time in Braille. Time telling is even further simplified with small division points between three hour plates- which makes it even more easier. The concept of the vibrations is due to the mechanism of radio waves, however, the time can be manually set as well. This bracelet watch – available in six vibrant colors – is a great asset for people with weak or impaired vision.
