Israeli start-up company MicroPointing has come up with a miniature mouse, except in this case it’s not a typical mouse per se, but rather a tiny touchpad that comes in at 1mm squared which they claim can be placed on just about any object to control it. Thanks to only 3 sensors, and a secret algorithm, the touchpad will be able to pull detailed data from your gestures, for example picking up on the force of your fingertips. If you’re wondering why this is such a big deal, it’s because of the number of possibilities that a touchpad this tiny, could open up.

Double Research & Development Co. has come up with a spanking new input device that it calls “amenbo”, where this unique device is capable of sensing movements and pressure of individual fingers. Complete hand movements can be directly input into the computer, from where it will be utilized in a range of applications that require complete hand recognition. Here’s what the manufacturer has to say about it, “We put a mouse sensor under each fingertip, and can input the coordinates for each finger as well as the downward pressure of each finger. This means that the actual hand motions are being input to the PC. For example, it is possible for the PC to receive the finger data for however many fingers are needed for an action, operating it with one or both hands.”

Ever heard of a gadget which gets charged, while working on it, even without plugging in? A group of designers from Korea have made this possible. Yonggu Do, Jun-se Kim and Eun-ha Seo have created a device named the “Ecopad” that features nano piezoelectricity film underneath the display to produces electricity and recharge itself, each time the user presses the touchscreen. Normally, users press their touchscreen display over 10,000 times a day, which could now be converted into electricity to power the revolutionary device.
